Welcome

The Data Submission System (DSS) is an open-source platform designed to streamline the submission of biomedical data to your infrastructure. It guides submitters, recipients, and data stewards through a structured workflow covering metadata collection, review, secure file transfer, and completion.

DSS is currently used by ELIXIR Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB). The live instance is at datasubmission.lcsb.uni.lu.

How it works

  1. Contact the Data Stewards to start a submission.
  2. A steward creates a tailored submission and invites you.
  3. Fill in guided metadata forms and attach supporting files.
  4. The steward reviews, requests clarifications, and approves metadata.
  5. Upload dataset files via secure transfer channels.
  6. Steward verifies files and approves the final submission.

Key Features

  • Guided multi-step workflow — structured, easy-to-follow steps for metadata and dataset submission
